The aquaculture industry is a key focus area for Solution Seeker. Our journey into this fascinating field began in 2021 with our initial collaboration with Salmon Evolution. Eager to learn more, two “Seekers”, Anine and Kristoffer were set to attend NCE Seafood Next (an international program for professionals new to the seafood industry) in October.

The program’s first module took place in Bergen, the ideal setting for an in-depth introduction to the salmon value chain. Through three packed days, we gained valuable from industry leaders like Grieg Seafood and Cargill, covering everything from genetics and hatching to sales and distribution. As a highlight, we embarked on a boat ride exceeding 50 knots, guided by the Norway Fisheries Museum. This memorable excursion included visits to Lerøy’s hatchery in Bjørsvik, production plant at Angelskår, and processing facility at Fossen.
In January, Anine and Kristoffer will continue their journey in Trondheim for the second module, focusing on innovation and new technology — a theme close to Solution Seeker’s core mission. We’re excited and ready for what’s to come!
