Ingvil, Torgeir, and Gjermund all hold M.Sc. degrees from NTNU in Trondheim, with different specializations that bring diverse expertise to Solution Seeker’s different parts of our Data Science team. We’re excited to welcome them as they join different projects, further strengthening our capability in data-driven solutions.
Ingvil holds a Master’s in Engineering and ICT, with a specialization in Geomatics. She joins our Data Science team, where her background in satellite imagery and semi-supervised learning will be valuable. In her master's thesis, she tackled detecting ship-to-ship transfers using satellite images. Outside of work, she’s passionate about tennis, hiking, and cross-country skiing. As a proud «badeengel», she’s always on the lookout for her next opportunity to take a swim, no matter the season!
Torgeir, with his M.Sc. in Cybernetics and Robotics, specialized in autonomous systems and machine learning. His thesis focused on free-space estimation for autonomous ferries, a testament to his technical expertise and interest in real-world applications of AI. Naturally, he will therefore join our AI focused team. Torgeir enjoys keeping active with running, climbing, and skiing, while also appreciating a good cup of coffee to keep him fueled during intense coding sessions.
Gjermund comes from a background in Cybernetics and Robotics, with a specialization in vertical farming. His master's thesis focused on optimizing lettuce growth in vertical farms through advanced modeling techniques. Now he brings his problem-solving skills and analytical mindset to our Data Engineering wing. In his spare time, you’ll find him exploring nature on hiking trips, casting a line while fishing, or enjoying a good game of chess.
When asked what made him choose Solution Seeker, Torgeir shared:
"I wanted to join Solution Seeker to take part in developing scalable, cutting-edge artificial intelligence. At a smaller company, you can have a greater impact, which boosts both motivation and competence. Meeting the excellent people here made it a no-brainer decision for me."

Ingvil Ahlsand
Ingvil is a part of the Data Science team. She holds a MSc. in Engineering and ICT from NTNU in Trondheim, specialised in Geomatics. She did her master thesis about detecting ship-to-ship transfers combining semi-supervised learning. Outside the office she plays tennis and seeks mountains and cross-country tracks. Ingvil is also a real «badeengel».

Jon Torgeir Grini
Torgeir is a part of our Data Science team. He holds an M.Sc. in Cybernetics and Robotics from NTNU, specializing in probabilistic theory and machine learning. Besides his passion for clean code, Torgeir enjoys running, climbing and good coffee!

Gjermund Bae
Gjermund is part of our Data Science team and holds an MSc in Cybernetics and Robotics from NTNU. His master’s thesis focused on modeling and optimizing lettuce growth in vertical farms. In his free time, he enjoys trekking, fishing, playing chess, and watching cinema.
